GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ – A New Jersey woman has been arrested and charged in a murder-for-hire plot to kill her police officer ex-boyfriend and his daughter—all of which stemming from a dating app.
Jaclyn Diiorio, 26, was charged with two counts of first-degree Attempted Murder, one count of first-degree Conspiracy to Commit Murder, and one count of third-degree Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office announced.
The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit was informed on April 3, 2025, of a murder-for-hire plot involving Diiorio.
She had allegedly communicated to a confidential informant that she wanted to have her ex-boyfriend—a 53-year-old officer with the Philadelphia Police Department—and his 19-year-old daughter killed.
Diiorio offered to pay the informant approximately $12,000 to kill both victims.
According to a criminal complaint, Diiorio and the informant met on Tinder dating app, WCAU reported.
They communicated via several phone calls and text messages from March 31 to April 3, during which Diiorio told the informant that she wished her ex was dead.
Prosecutors say Diiorio met with the informant on April 4 on the 1300 block of North Black Horse Pike in Gloucester Township and she provided the informant with $500 in cash.
After the money was exchanged, Diiorio was taken into custody by the Gloucester Township Police Department Special Response Team.
Diiorio was also found to be in possession of a bottle of suspected alprazolam pills.
Court records indicated Diiorio was “adamant about killing her ex boyfriend.”
She offered the man $12,000—$500 up front and the rest in installments—to kill her ex and his 19-year-old daughter, investigators said.
Diiorio was remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility, and is due in court on April 9.
