I cut my teeth in journalism when I began looking into what I saw as abuses of power in my local government. From then on, I was hooked on the dopamine rush of uncovering information.

, PA (PPP)— A 36-year-old McKeesport woman has been arrested and charged with several felonies and misdemeanors, including burglary, robbery, theft by unlawful taking, and criminal conspiracy.

According to the police report filed by the McKeesport Police Department, on March 31st, 2023, officers were dispatched to the area following reports of a robbery in progress. When they arrived at the scene, they found a man who had been assaulted and robbed by a black male and a white female, both wearing black ski masks.

The victim told the police that the female suspect, later identified as Olivia Robison, had ransacked his home while the male suspect had attacked him, causing moderate bleeding from his head, the report said.

The suspects then fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle, which was later recovered by the police at a nearby gas station parking lot. Both suspects were still wearing their ski masks and were subsequently detained by the police, according to the report.

The victim later identified Robison and her male accomplice, Lerin Jovan Dukes, as the assailants, according to a criminal complaint filed against Robison.

Further investigation by the police revealed that Robison had been instructed by Dukes to collect whatever she could find from the victim’s home before they made their escape. She had smeared blood on her outer clothing garments, and a hammer covered in blood and hair was found in the victim’s vehicle, according to the complaint.

Affidavit of Probable Cause
On 31 March 2023 at approximately 01:53 hours, McKeesport units were dispatched to ██████████████ for a robbery in progress/just occurred.

While in route to ██████████████, County 911 updated that both actors; one (1) black male wearing a black ski mask and one (1) white female wearing a black ski mask, took the victim’s vehicle, PA REG ███████, unknown direction of night.

Upon arrival, I Officer Athans, along with Officer B. Morris and Officer P. Summers, made contact with a male, later identified as a ███████, Upon initial contact, ███████ had moderate bleeding from the head, as well as a laceration. When ███████ was asked what happened tonight, he informed us that while he was getting ready to take out his trash to the curb, he notices one (1) African American male wearing a black face mask and one (1) While female wearing a black face mask walking an ███ Alley towards his residence. Shortly after taking out the trash and proceeding back into his residence, ███████ then states that the male and female rush into ███████’s home. Once inside ███████’s home, ███████ states that the male strikes him over the head multiple times, causing him to fall to the ground. ███████ then states that while the male was attacking him, the female was running throughout his home, looking for items to take. Shortly after, ███████ states that both the male and the female leave his home get into his Dodge Durango (green in color) and leave, no direction of flight.

While I was obtaining all this information, Lieutenant Josh Alfer informed McKeesport units that he had the vehicle, ███████, parked at the Sunoco parking lot. Lieutenant Josh Alfer then informed McKeesport units that the female matching the description was exiting the passenger side of the vehicle, walking towards the Sunoco. The male, matching the description, was sitting in the driver side of the vehicle. At this time, Sgt Ross Weimer was close and was able to assist Lieutenant Josh Alfer in effecting a Felony traffic stop. The male, later identified as a Lerin Dukes, was removed from the vehicle and was detained. While Dukes was being detained, the female, later identified as a Olivia Robison was walking back towards the vehicle and was also detained. It should be noted that both Dukes and Robison were still wearing the black face masks.

Immediately after both subjects were detained, Officer P. Summers informed McKeesport units that ███████ had refused medical treatment and she was now in route to the Sunoco for ███████ to do a “show up,” to identify and confirm that Dukes and Robison were the actors, to which ███████ did inform Officer P. Summers that they were the ones that assaulted him. At this time, both Dukes and Robison were informed they were under arrest, checked for weapons and placed in the rear of patrol vehicles 106 and 104 to be transported to the station for holding while charges are filed and subsequently transported to the Allegheny County Jail.

It should be noted that as Lieutenant Josh Alfer was conducting an inventory search of the vehicle, he observed all of ███████’s cards from his wallet to be scattered on the passenger side floorboard. When I asked Lieutenant Josh Alfer if he saw the debit card in there, Robison spontaneously uttered, “I have that in my pocket” and then immediately reached into her pocket and provided the debit card.

It should also be noted that once Robison arrived at the station, without being questioned regarding, tonight, informed me that Dukes had told her they were going to “jump” ███████. Robison then informed me that Dukes had informed her he was going to tackle him, hit him with a hammer and that he wanted her to go throughout the house and get what she could before leaving. Robison also did have smeared blood on her outer clothing garments. It should be noted that McKeesport units did locate the hammer, which was covered in blood and hair, in an orange tea crate, in the Durango. The hammer was brought back to the station and will be logged into evidence under tag number 19221.

███████ was able to take back possession of his vehicle once both Dukes and Robison were transported to the station.

At this time, both the face masks worn by Dukes end Robison, as well as the outer clothing garments Robison was wearing, was photographed and will be attached to this report and made available for court proceedings. Both Dukes and Robison will be charged with the following:

Dukes:
18 3921 (A) — Theft by unlawful taking (3X)
18 2702 (A)(4) – Aggravated Assault
