Affidavit of Probable Cause
Officers were dispatched to a group of people fighting outside of the Circle Inn. Officer Washinski and I arrived on scene and immediately saw a male approach us. The male was bleeding heavily from a cut over his left eye. This male was later identified as being ███████. The male was very upset and was yelling at another male, later identified as being ███████. I had ███████ sit down on a chair that was outside of the bar. I requested EMS respond to treat him for his injury. I then went to speak with ███████ as ███████ was too upset to get any information from him. ███████ advised me that he was approached by ███████ and an unknown black male outside of the bar. An argument started and ███████ stated that he walked away. He stated that the males followed him to his home at ██████████████. After some time passed he went back to the Circle Inn and went inside. While there, ███████ and the black male came back into the bar and started to argue with other patrons. While trying to talk with ███████, ███████ started to yell at me because I was not talking to him. I attempted to try and calm him down and advised him that I would be talking with him also. He also accused me of not getting him any treatment for his injury. I tried several times to calm him down, but was unsuccessful. He then stuck his finger in my face nearly striking me and called me a piece of sh**. It should be noted that his fingers were covered with blood. He also became very loud and was yelling obscenities: I advised him that I was placing him under arrest and attempted to put handcuffs on him. He attempted to pull. away from me. I took him to the ground and Officer Washinski assisted me in placing double locked handcuffs behind his back that were checked for fit. He was then placed back in a seat. Other people came outside of the bar and the owners arrived on scene also. The scene became unmanageable as more people were outside yelling at each other. I requested additional departments to respond and assist with crowd control. When other departments arrived ███████ was then immediately placed in the backseat of my patrol vehicle.

Officer Washinski spoke with the bartender ███████. She had suffered an injury also. She stated that a fight took place between ███████ and ███████. She advised that there was a tall black male with ███████. She stated that the males were throwing furniture and at one point she thought that they were going to throw something at a vehicle. She stated that she was at the lower step of the front entrance and put her hands out when ███████ and the black male tried to come back into the bar, telling them they could not come in. The black male then started to try and punch another female that was behind her. ███████ was struck on the left side of her face by the black male. There was swelling around her left eye socket and it is believed that she may have a orbital fracture and possible concussion. She stated that the black male in question was wearing a grey sweatshirt and walking down East Crafton towards Station Street as officers approached, Officer Weiler arrived on scene and assisted Officer Washinski in searching for the black male.

North West EMS arrived on scene and began treatment on ███████ and ███████. ███████’s parents are the owners of the bar and declined transport to the hospital by medics. They decided to transport her to Children’s Hospital themselves. ███████ was transported to Allegheny General Hospital for his injury.

Officer Washinski and I were talking outside of the bar when Officer Washinski observed a male behind a vehicle in the driveway of ██████████████. The male appeared to be looking over the roof of the vehicle and then quickly ducked down. We approached the vehicle. Officer Washinski had his Taser out and armed and I had my handgun out. There was a wall behind the left passenger side of the vehicle and a fence behind it that was attached the home. Officer Washinski approached from the front of the vehicle and I approached towards the rear. Officer Washinski gave orders to come out but did not receive a response. He looked under the vehicle and observed a black male, that matched the description of the male that assaulted ███████. The male was hiding under the vehicle. He was ordered out from under the vehicle. He complied and was taken into custody. As we were walking with the male, back to our patrol vehicles, the ███████ arrived back on scene. ███████ immediately notified officers that the male we had in custody was the male that assaulted her. The male was identified as being Denayne Ricardo Davidson-Dixon Sr.
