I cut my teeth in journalism when I began looking into what I saw as abuses of power in my local government. From then on, I was hooked on the dopamine rush of uncovering information.

I am trained and certified as a member of the North Hills DUI Task Force as well as a 2021 DUI Top Gun Award winner by the Pennsylvania DUI Association.

on 03/11/2023 at approximately 2301 hours, Officer Gibbons and I were dispatched to 632 North Avenue, Caesars Alehouse for a reported assault that just occurred. Dispatch relayed that the actor had fled the scene and one victim was struck in the head by a hard item and was currently bleeding from the head. On arrival, I identified the victim as ███████. ███████ was visibly bleeding. I observed a large gash and lump in the center of his forehead. EMS was requested to the scene to evaluate ███████. While speaking with ███████, he stated that an unknown male wearing a white hoodie with green pants, removed a purple crown royal bag from his hoodie pocket ans swung it at ███████ striking him in the head. ███████ stated once he got hit, he began to see stars and was uneasy on his feet. Additionally, while speaking with ███████, he stated that the unknown male who assaulted him also punched hi wife. I identified ███████’s wife as ███████. Kacy stated she was punched in the head by the actor. Ross West/View EMS arrived on scene at which time ███████ refused treatment and transport and stated that he was going to have his mom drive him to Passavant Hospital for stitches and treatment. While still on scene, Officers made contact with Staff members who were able to pull up video of the incident. The surveillance cameras did not capture the assault, but the employees pointed out the male who they advised committed the assault. I observed a while male in his mid 20’s wearing a bright white sweatshirt and green pants. Once ███████ departed for the Hospital, Officers began to search the area for the suspect. At 2340 hours, I was flagged down by an employee of Caesars Alehouse who informed me they believed the actors name was Zachary Rogowski. With that name, I conducted a check via NCIC and located a PennDot photo of Zachary Rogowski. At approximately 2343 hours, I located Zachary on the sidewalk in front of the Double L Bar. I approached Zachary at which time I could hear him talking to other customers about the fight at Caesar’s. I informed Zachary he was being detained at which time he was escorted to the parking lot of Sunoco. Once at my patrol vehicle, Zachary was told to turn around so he could be handcuffed. As I was pulling my handcuffs out, Zachary began to resist and then turned his body to run. Zachary began to run on Hays St as I gave chase giving him numerous commands to stop. During the foot chase, I deployed my Taser two time but neither shot made contact through his thick hoodie and Zachary continued to run. I requested additional units to assist in the search of Zachary. Officers began to set a perimeter up and a short time later, Millvale Officer Potetz who was working plain clothes, located the male hiding in a garage at ██████████████. This garage could only be accessed by entering a locked fence gate into an area that Zachary does not have permission to enter. Officer Potetz held Zachary at gunpoint until he was successfully taken into custody. Zachary was searched incident to arrest at which time Officers located a purple Crown Royale bag with a partially full glass bottle of crown royal inside, an PA ID card positively identifying Zachary, and a cellphone. Zachary was visibly intoxicated, he had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from his person, and he was observed on surveillance video consuming alcohol.

Based on the above facts and circumstances, I respectfully request the above charges be filed.
