, PA (PPP)— Evan Scott Fields, 34, has been charged with simple assault and harassment following a physical domestic incident that took place on March 16th, according to court documents filed at Magisterial District Court.

An officer with the Moon Township Police Department responded to a report of a physical domestic between Fields and a female at a residence in the area. The report states that Fields struck her in the chest twice during a verbal argument that had escalated.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, the argument then moved outside into the driveway, where Fields got into his truck to leave. The female, still standing between the open door and Fields, was then shoved in the chest by Fields to move her out of the way. The open door of the truck then struck the female, causing her to lose her balance and fall to the ground. She expressed fear that Fields was going to run her over when leaving the driveway. Fields was subsequently placed under arrest upon returning to the residence.

Fields denies striking the female in the chest and claims he only pushed her out of the way of his car. He also denies that the open door of the truck struck the female, causing her to lose her balance.
