CHARLOTTE, NC — Reality show star Veronica Rodriguez and her fiancé, Seth Daryoushfar, were arrested Dec. 15 in North Carolina on domestic violence-related charges.
Rodriguez, 40, was charged with misdemeanor domestic violence after allegedly striking Daryoushfar in the face, Us Weekly reported.
Daryoushfar, 38, was charged with assault on a female less than an hour later. Both were booked into a local jail and released on bond.
Court documents cited by The Ashley’s Reality Roundup describe conflicting accounts of the incident.
Rodriguez alleged Daryoushfar grabbed her, leaving scratches on her wrists and thighs. Daryoushfar claimed Rodriguez used physical force against him. Both charges are classified as misdemeanors under North Carolina law.
The arrests came one day after Rodriguez posted a year-end video on social media celebrating her relationship with Daryoushfar. In the post, she described 2025 as “the best year yet” and wrote that she looked forward to 2026 with her fiancé, according to People magazine.
Rodriguez first appeared on TLC’s “90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days” in season three and later joined the spinoff “The Single Life.”
Daryoushfar, whom she met on the dating app Bumble, proposed in September. The couple shared updates about their engagement online, including photos and videos of the proposal.
Us Weekly reported that both Rodriguez and Daryoushfar were “bonded out” and no longer in custody. Jail records show Rodriguez was booked shortly before 3 p.m. on Dec. 15, with Daryoushfar booked less than an hour later. Records did not indicate prior arrests for either.
The TLC franchise, which follows couples involved in international relationships and immigration processes, has produced multiple spinoffs since its 2014 debut.
Rodriguez’s appearances made her a recognizable figure among fans, particularly for her candid discussions of past relationships. Her arrest adds to a list of cast members who have faced legal issues outside the shows.
Neither Rodriguez nor Daryoushfar has publicly commented on the charges. TLC has not released a statement.
The arrests drew attention from fan accounts and started many online discussions. Viewers expressed surprise given Rodriguez’s recent posts honoring her engagement.
Social media activity leading up to the incident included a Dec. 14 video montage of vacations and outings with Daryoushfar. She captioned the post, “Can’t wait to see what 2026 has in store for us,” according to People magazine.
Court proceedings will determine the outcome of the charges. Domestic violence cases in North Carolina typically involve hearings where both parties present evidence and testimony.
The charges against Rodriguez and Daryoushfar remain pending.
Presumption of Innocence: A presumption of innocence means that any defendant in a criminal trial is presumed to be innocent until they have been proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
