LAS VEGAS, NV — Newly reported evidence is adding graphic detail to the attempted murder case against Quenton Marselles Brown, the father of Philadelphia 76ers star Jaylen Brown, in connection with a stabbing at All American Park.
According to 8 News Now, newly obtained documents describe the victim’s wounds after Brown allegedly stabbed him during a confrontation tied to a “door ding” dispute at the park. Earlier reporting in the case said Las Vegas Metropolitan Police accused Brown of repeatedly stabbing the man after the argument escalated.
Police and court records previously reported that the alleged victim suffered multiple stab wounds and a broken right rib. Witnesses told investigators Brown, a former boxer, was about 7 feet tall and weighed around 300 pounds, and that the victim had turned away when Brown allegedly attacked, undercutting a self-defense claim raised by Brown’s attorney.
Prior reporting on the case said the confrontation happened at All American Park on Buffalo Drive near Charleston Boulevard. Investigators said they later stopped a matching SUV on U.S. 95 near Decatur Boulevard and found Brown in the passenger seat with abrasions on his knees and blood on his face. Police also said Brown spontaneously told officers the incident was over a door ding.
Brown, 57, has previously appeared in Clark County court on charges including attempted murder and counts of battery with a deadly weapon. Bail was previously set at $300,000, and the victim was earlier described as being in critical condition after surgery.
Presumption of Innocence: A presumption of innocence means that any defendant in a criminal trial is presumed to be innocent until they have been proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law. The defendant in this case is only accused of the charges set forth in the criminal complaint. They are innocent until proven guilty.
