FORT LAUDERDALE, FL — Authorities are searching for a 10‑year‑old girl last seen five months ago at a Florida mall with her mother, who was later arrested on a child neglect charge.

Gabrielle Patricia Terrelonge,10, was reported missing in late October by her father, Gordon Terrelonge. He filed the report after learning that the girl’s mother, Passha Bianca Davis, had been arrested on unrelated charges.

The child was last seen on the evening of June 30, getting off a Greyhound bus with Davis, 34, at the Florida Mall in Orlando, police reported. The girl’s father told police he had not seen his daughter since May, as per an arrest report obtained by CBS News.

Davis was taken into custody on Oct. 17 in Margate on suspicion of shoplifting. Online court records show she was charged with unlawfully using a false name and resisting arrest.

During the stop, police body camera footage shows Davis refusing to identify herself and never mentioning her daughter was missing, according to WPLG.

The father reported his daughter missing on Oct. 29 after learning of Davis’ arrest. Shortly after, the Federal Bureau of Investigation issued a missing child alert for Gabrielle.

Investigators interviewed Davis at the Broward County jail on Oct. 31. She initially told police that Gabrielle was with the girl’s father, authorities alleged. Gordon Terrelonge confirmed to police that the girl was not with him.

Davis was released from jail on a $200 bond after her initial arrest. Days later, she was arrested again on Nov. 4 and charged with child neglect without great bodily harm. She is currently held in Broward County jail on a $100,000 bond.

The investigation into the girl’s disappearance is active. Broward County Crime Stoppers has offered a reward for information regarding Gabrielle’s whereabouts, which was later raised to $10,000.

Gabrielle’s father, Gordon Terrelonge, made an emotional public plea on Nov. 19, asking the public for help.

“I beg, I’m begging from the bottom of my heart,” Terrelonge said at a press conference, as reported by CBS News. “I just want to find my daughter. I want her to come home.”

Terrelonge expressed his sorrow regarding the situation, noting that the holiday season will be difficult without his daughter. “There’s no holiday for me…unless we find her,” he said.

Davis appeared in a South Florida courtroom on Nov. 19. She had been ordered to undergo a mental health evaluation by the court.

During the hearing, she made an obscene gesture upon seeing TV cameras in the courtroom.

The judge told Davis the court was awaiting the results of a mental health evaluation amid concerns raised by several parties, NBC 6 reported.

Authorities are asking anyone with information about Gabrielle Patricia Terrelonge’s location to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS or contact the FBI.
