Tarentum Borough, PA (PPP)— A Tarentum man found himself in hot water after allegedly threatening a woman and violating a ban from Allegheny County Housing properties.
According to the criminal complaint filed in Magisterial District Court, David Matthew Weston, 35, was caught on camera banging on a woman’s windows and threatening her life. He took off running before officers arrived at the scene.
However, officers recognized Weston’s voice when the woman received a phone call from him during their investigation. Weston reportedly told the officers he was “hiding on the hillside,” but hung up when he was advised to speak with them or face an arrest warrant, say the complaint.
Officers were later able to confirm Weston’s involvement in the incident through video footage provided by the victim, as well as a statement from a neighbor who witnessed Weston pacing in front of the victim’s apartment earlier in the day, according to the complaint.
