CARROLL COUNTY, GA – Police are investigating a double homicide in Georgia that has left three children orphaned.

According to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, authorities located two deceased individuals in the early morning hours of February 20, 2025, at a residence on Tyus Road, in Carrollton, Georgia.

Police said the victims, who were with apparent gunshot wounds, were identified as James Brock, 45 and Kristin Brock, 41.

A spokesperson with the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office told local news the murder weapon was not located on scene, which led investigators to believe the case a double homicide and not a murder suicide “as many were speculating online.”

According to WSB-TV, Kristin’s father is offering a $5,000 reward for any information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case.

A GoFundMe was organized to benefit the victims’ three children. As of Monday evening, it had raise over $1,200.
