CARROLLTON, GA — A Georgia teenager faces charges for allegedly murdering her mother and stepfather, months after using TikTok to raise awareness about their deaths.

According to Fox News, Sarah Grace Patrick, 17, turned herself in on July 8, 2025. She was charged initially with two murder charges and two aggravated assault charges.

Authorities say she shot and killed her mother, Kristen Brock, and stepfather, James Brock, who police found dead in their Carroll County home on February 20, 2025.

The investigation began after emergency services responded to the Brock residence in February. Sarah Grace Patrick reportedly contacted 911 to report the killings, according to authorities. The victims were discovered by Patrick’s younger sister.

Months after the deaths, Patrick posted emotional videos on TikTok, discussing her parents’ passing and asking for support. 11Alive.com reported that one post was captioned, “Please send prayers for healing.” At the end of that same video, she added, “I should prob delete later.”

WJCL News reported that a family friend, Kellie Brown, stated on TikTok that Patrick contacted her directly. Brown said Patrick asked her to speak about the night of February 20.

Patrick told Brown she did not hear anything unusual that night, except for James Brock’s heart machine alarm. Patrick claimed this alarm was faint due to background noise.

Another TikTok content creator who operates a true crime page stated Patrick also reached out to them. The creator shared screenshots of direct messages, claiming Patrick asked her to cover the case.

In these messages, Patrick identified Kristen and James Brock as her parents and described them as being found by her and her five-year-old sister after someone entered their home.

The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed Patrick is charged as an adult. The arrest affidavit obtained by Fox News contains few details about what happened. The incident report has not been updated since the initial investigation.

Authorities have not released a motive for the shootings. The case remains under active investigation.
