ATLANTA, Ga. — A 34-year-old mother of two was shot and killed while driving home from work on Interstate 75 near the Atlanta airport during rush hour traffic, according to her family.

KVUE, citing WXIA and family members, reported that Bianca Huntley had just left work Tuesday evening and was heading home when she was shot. Her family said she was also pregnant at the time of her death.

When officers arrived, they found Huntley inside her white BMW SUV. Her mother, Gloria Allen, said Huntley tried to get out of the vehicle and tried to dial 911 after she was shot.

Police found the SUV stopped on the median with its turn signal still blinking. The Atlanta Police Department’s Homicide Unit said investigators are still trying to determine the exact location on the interstate where Huntley was shot.

Allen said her daughter moved from Greensboro, North Carolina, to Atlanta about nine years ago and built a life through hard work and determination. Huntley had become a quality manager for DHL in McDonough and had recently received a promotion. Her mother said Huntley was in the process of hiring a team when she was killed.

Family members said Huntley was also a homeowner by age 30 and had been raising her daughters, ages 14 and 5, on her own.

Gloria Allen said she does not believe the shooting was random road rage and thinks her daughter was targeted. She urged anyone who saw what happened during the heavy 6 to 6:30 p.m. traffic on I-75 to come forward.

Presumption of Innocence: A presumption of innocence means that any defendant in a criminal trial is presumed to be innocent until they have been proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law. The defendant in this case is only accused of the charges set forth in the criminal complaint. They are innocent until proven guilty.
