SULPHUR SPRINGS, AR — Hunter James Anderson, 21, has been transferred back to Arkansas after authorities arrested him out of state in connection with the fatal shooting of 20-year-old Triton Michael King in Benton County.

According to THV11, Anderson is accused of shooting and killing King on Aug. 13, and the Benton County Sheriff’s Office said he was brought back to Arkansas after being taken into custody in Missouri.

Earlier reporting on the case said deputies responded to a fatal Thursday night shooting near Sulphur Springs and found King dead at the scene. Investigators later identified Anderson as the suspect and said he would face a capital murder charge.

Authorities said Anderson was arrested in Southwest City, Missouri, before being transferred back to Arkansas. The case remains with the Benton County Sheriff’s Office and prosecutors as the homicide charge moves forward.
