TRENTON, NJ — Two people were killed and nine others were hurt after gunfire broke out at a large overnight block party on Locust Street in Trenton, sending victims to the hospital and leaving investigators searching for multiple suspects.
According to PIX11, officers were called to the 100 block of Locust Street around 12:25 a.m. Sunday and found numerous people suffering from gunshot wounds after shots rang out during the gathering.
Later updates from regional outlets citing the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office said a 33-year-old woman and a 42-year-old man were killed. Prosecutors said eight gunshot victims, including two women and six men between 23 and 43 years old, were treated at Capital Health Regional Medical Center and stabilized, while an additional injured person was hospitalized after a crash that officials said may have been connected to the shooting.
