NEW ORLEANS, LA — A relative of missing New Orleans woman Denise Henry has been arrested on a second-degree murder charge, bringing an arrest in her disappearance without resolving where she is.

Justin Henry Jr. allegedly admitted during a police interview that he fatally stabbed Henry and disposed of her remains, according to WGNO’s reporting on the New Orleans Police Department investigation. The supplied account from WWLTV says Henry remains missing.

Officers responded to the 5100 block of Bundy Road in the West Lake Forest neighborhood on Aug. 23 after Henry was reported missing. She had reportedly last been seen alive on Aug. 20.

Detectives determined that foul play was involved in her disappearance. Working with Louisiana State Police, New Orleans investigators located and interviewed Justin Henry Jr., who police identified as her relative.

Police said he made the alleged confession during that interview. Investigators obtained an arrest warrant, and he was arrested and booked into the Orleans Justice Center on the second-degree murder charge.

WGNO’s report does not specify the family relationship beyond identifying him as a relative, or provide a motive or location where the remains were allegedly disposed of.

Anyone with additional information can contact NOPD homicide detectives at 504-658-5300 or Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111.
