Moon Township, PA (PPP)— A 26-year-old McDonald’s shift manager has been charged with sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl who worked for him.
According to a criminal complaint filed in district court, 26-year-old Daniel George Bonet, of Aliquippa, volunteered to give the girl a ride home after her shift at a McDonald’s restaurant in Moon Township.
After the victim got into the back of Bonet’s truck, he drove to a nearby Walmart parking lot where he sexually assaulted the girl in the back seat, according to the complaint.
The assault occurred in November of 2021, according to the complaint. At the time of the alleged assault, Bonet was 24 years old.
Bonet was booked into the Allegheny County Jail on April 14, 2023 because he could not post a $2,500 monetary bail, according to court records. He was bailed out on April 23 by Liberty Bail Bonds.

Your Affiant, Detective Devin Small, is a law enforcement officer of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania currently employed by the Moon Township Police Department, and I am empowered to make arrests for criminal offenses enumerated within this document. I am currently assigned to the Special Investigations Unit of the Moon Township Police Department. I have been a police officer in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for nine years. I have received training related to this investigation to include Criminal Investigations, Crime Scene Investigations, Advanced Crime Scene Investigations, Sex Assault Investigations, Child Abuse Investigations, and Human Trafficking. Additionally, I have gained experience and knowledge in this area while working with experienced police officers from the Allegheny County Police Department and the Moon Township Police Department, representatives of the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office, PAAR-(Pittsburgh Action Against Rape), CYF-(Children Youth and Families), medical professionals, forensic interviewers and advocates.
All of the information contained in this affidavit was learned directly by your Affiant or was communicated by other law enforcement officers or law enforcement clinicians and technicians. The victim in this investigation was identified as a 15 y/o juvenile female at the time of the offense and is known to your Affiant. In order to protect the anonymity of the victim and preserve the integrity of the investigation, her name will be withheld from this affidavit. The female juvenile victim will hereafter be referred to as “Jane Doe”.
On Sunday, November 7, 2021, Officer Peters of the Moon Township Police Department fielded a phone call from Ohio Valley Kennedy Hospital Nurse, ███████. ███████ advised that she was currently treating Jane Doe who disclosed she was sexually assaulted. Jane Doe reported to ███████ that she (Jane Doe) was raped by her manager at McDonalds at least a week prior. This information was passed on to Det. Sgt. Brace who scheduled an interview with Jane Doe and her mother on Wednesday, November 17, 2021.
On Wednesday, November 17, 2021, Det. Sgt. Brace and I interviewed Jane Doe who reported the following:
On Saturday, October 2, 2021, Jane Doe was working at McDonalds in Moon Township for a scheduled daylight shift. During her shift, she asked another co-worker to drive her home, however, her shift manager, Daniel Bonet (24 y/o at the time), interjected and asked to take Jane Doe home instead. Jane Doe agreed to have Bonet take her home and the two finished out their shifts at McDonalds. At 1600 hours, Jane Doe completed her shift and walked out to McDonalds’ parking lot. She located Bonet’s vehicle (2011 red Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck) and made contact with Bonet who was already in the driver’s seat. Jane Doe entered the passenger side rear seat, as directed by Bonet, and they drove away from McDonalds.
Bonet drove the truck to the parking lot of Walmart in Moon Township and parked it in the front lot. After the truck was parked, he crawled into the back seat area where Jane Doe was currently seated. Bonet started kissing Jane Doe on the lips and progressed by taking her clothes off. Bonet then unbuttoned his pants and exposed his penis. He then pulled her head onto his penis and she performed oral sex. After performing oral sex, Bonet grabbed her and pulled her onto his lap, inserting his penis into her vagina. Both Bonet and Jane Doe were facing forward while Bonet was moving her up and down, performing vaginal sexual intercourse. This occurred for an unknown amount of time before Jane Doe removed herself from Bonet’s lap. After the sexual intercourse, Daniel told Jane Doe to “be quiet” and drove her home.
On Wednesday, April 5, 2023, I made contact with Bonet via phone and asked to speak with him regarding this incident. Bonet agreed to speak with me and later arrived at the Moon Township Police Station for the interview. Prior to questioning, Bonet was mirandized and consented to have the interview audio/visually recorded. Bonet provided the following statement:
On or about October 2021, he was working as a shift manager at McDonalds in Moon Township. He had been working with Jane Doe for approximately 6 months and would routinely help Jane Doe with relationship advice. During one of his shifts in October of 2021, he offered to take Jane Doe home, which she agreed to. At the end of their shift, Bonet transported Jane Doe in his truck and took her to Walmart in Moon Township. Bonet explained Jane Doe was having a tough time with her relationship with her boyfriend and the plan was to walk around in Walmart. After he parked his truck in Walmart, he crawled into the back seat with Jane Doe. They started kissing until Jane Doe progressed to performing oral sex on Bonet. The oral sex continued until Bonet ejaculated on the interior of the truck cabin.
Based on the above set of facts and circumstances, your Affiant believes probable cause exists for the issuance of an arrest warrant for one, Daniel Bonet, for the charges enumerated within this document.
