GRAPEVINE, TX — A former Chick-fil-A employee is accused of stealing more than $80,000 from a Grapevine restaurant by entering hundreds of fake orders and refunding the money to his own credit cards, police said.
According to a report from KVUE, Grapevine police arrested Keyshun Jones and charged him with property theft, money laundering and evading arrest.
Investigators said the Chick-fil-A owner reported the theft after reviewing surveillance footage that allegedly showed Jones, who had been fired about a month earlier, unattended behind the counter in November 2025.
Police said the video captured Jones using the register to ring up 800 orders of macaroni-and-cheese trays, then refunding those transactions to his personal credit cards. Authorities said the scheme siphoned more than $80,000 from the business.
Grapevine police said Jones avoided arrest multiple times before he was finally taken into custody April 17, 2026, with help from the Texas Attorney General’s Fugitive Task Force and the Fort Worth Police Department.
Presumption of Innocence: A presumption of innocence means that any defendant in a criminal trial is presumed to be innocent until they have been proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
